EN: Ten years ago, the Ghunim Family arrived in Portugal as refugees from the war in Syria. We worked hard to call this amazing country “Home.” After founding Tayybeh (one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in Lisbon), we decided to plant our roots deeper in the Portuguese soil at Quinta do Damasco.
PT: Há 10 anos, a Família Ghunim chegou a Portugal como refugiados da guerra na Síria. Trabalhámos muito para chamar “Casa” a este país incrível. Depois de fundarmos o Tayybeh (um dos melhores restaurantes do Médio Oriente em Lisboa), decidimos criar raízes ainda mais profundas na terra portuguesa, na Quinta do Damasco.
Our Story & Resilience | A Nossa História
EN: Our journey began during COVID-19. We sought a sanctuary of nature while our restaurant faced the global crisis. Building our Glamping Dome was a 4-year challenge of “Obras” and bureaucracy. Just as we finished, the Kristin Storm hit us, destroying years of work. But we are rebuilding—stronger and more committed than ever.
PT: A nossa jornada começou durante a COVID-19. Procurávamos um refúgio na natureza enquanto o nosso restaurante enfrentava a crise mundial. Construir o nosso Domo de Glamping foi um desafio de 4 anos de “Obras”. Quando finalmente terminámos, a tempestade Kristin destruiu tudo. Mas não desistimos: estamos a reconstruir com mais força do que nunca.

- 300 Syrian Olive Trees: Authentic Syrian-style table olives.
- 400 Fruit Trees: Including Pomegranates, Quince, and Alcobaça Apples.
- 6 Beehives: Pure local honey.
- Glamping Dome: Luxury stay for 5 persons with a swimming pool.
- Location: Alpedriz/Pataias, near Nazaré (50 min from Lisbon via A8).
